England Vacation - August 2007
We are off to England for vacation this Sunday so you will not find new
posts for a least a few weeks.
This is our first "family" vacation in 4 years. The last vacation the three of us had was when we went to Idaho where Bob James kindly let us come stay at his timeshare. We are really looking forward to this over due vacation. Especially for Ross who has been working way to much and too hard for the last 4 years and is well deserving of this break!
We will get the opportunity to visit with Ross' Nan (Gordon's mother) who we haven't seen in a few years. As well as Jenny, Ross' cousin who we haven't seen since our wedding (which will be 6 years ago in a few weeks :) and will get to meet her daughter for the first time, Bethany. As well, we will get to see two of my Uncles, Don & Peter along with the families. We have a jammed pack schedule of visiting family as well as tourist things (London Eye, London Bethal, Trafalgar square, Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussauds, Harrods.....). We also purchased tickets to see a sold out Prince concert which we are pretty excited about. The only small problem, is that the tickets have not arrived in the mail yet :( so we will see what happens. It will be very sad for Ross and I to be sitting in our hotel we booked minutes away from the O2 Arena (http://www.theo2.co.uk/web/guest/tour) faintly, listening to the concert we should be at........
Will let you know what happens when I post our vacation pictures when we return.
Take care, Love to all :) xo
Macdonald Family Dinner - August 2007
Angela & Grant came back to Calgary for a short visit (after almost 2 years) and we had the opportunity to have a wonderful get-together. It's always nice to get the family together, we had a nice time! They will be returning back "home" to Paraguay in a couple weeks.
Thanks for the great evening!

Macdonald family group photo.
I left the spot between Mark and myself so that one day when I get a chance I could superimpose Brenda into it. Brenda sadly had to work and couldn't make it :(
Rena, not only amazing with children but also with cats.
Magically she can always calm & get them to sleep :) She has a powerful touch....

Nickolas & Kyran enjoying one last pose on
the porch before Nickolas leaving....
Ross starting a game of Trival Pursuit, after hearing
about all the interesting things going on in Paraguay....

Happy Johnny.....

Gordon tried, but couldn't quite make it until the end of the night :)

Something I would do (fall asleep)......

He feel asleep on the deck enjoying the beautiful weather and the 'romatic' hanging
candles we had in the yard...... hahaha :)

Summer Fun.....
This summer has been the busiest and most fun and I simply can't blog
every time we do something memorable or fun or I would be blogging an hour every day!....
This post is about 2 months over due.... a bunch of us went out to Bragg Creek and had a bon fire. We had a great time and the kids of course had a blast. Memorable part of the evening: Ross snuck up on Kyran and Tanner in the forest when it was dark and pretended to be a Moose.....Kyran will never forget that, too funny! He totally freaked them out!
Ross, Paul & Marcel
Marcel getting smoked out :)
Ahhhh...Kyran with the girls... Look closely ~ Claire and Kyran are holding hands :) How cute, we didn't even
tell them to do it :) oh no, we might have something on our hands here......

Kura’s First Trip to TO with Gramma Chris

Kura had her first opportunity to go home to Toronto with Gramma Chris. Gramma made Kura a little pilot outfit with Grampa Doug’s old uniforms, and as usual (what she has done for Kyran) it’s a huge hit with everyone at the airport & on the flight! Kura & Gramma flew to Winnipeg so they could catch the plane Grampa was flying home to Toronto. When they arrived in Winnipeg the “crew” was picked up by a stretch limo. And as you see by the pictures, Kura could get use to “the life as a pilot”. First class, stretch limo, fancy hotel…….who couldn't get use to that :) Kura was the flight attendant’s helper and was asked to pass out the headsets to all the passengers. She then got to spend the week on Grampa & Gramma boat and a few days at their place in the country. Next year, it's Jayda’s turn. Then, Gramma’s next project, make 3 pilot outfits and take all three grandchildren ……

Getting ready to go and getting excited......
